Hey !
During the week, we have exchanged with Stacie about multiculturalism in our contries, particularly in our schools. In her campus, there are students from all over the world, like Asia, South America, Africa and of course a lot of Americans. I told her that here there are also students who come from these continents, nevertheless in the United States multiculturalism is more present. I think it's a chance for her because she can learn new things with them, discover new culturs, share traditions with them... So, by this way, we discuss what does it mean to be American, and she thinks American is link to the image of freedom and independance.
For Thanksgiving, she ate with her family and she enjoys this period of the year, it's really nice!
To conclude for this exchange, I appreciate to talk English with a nativespeaker, to talk about subjetcs of the everyday-life, to learn things about the traditions that I didn't know before...
I was a really great experience !
Bye,
Justine
