Hi everybody!


With Brandon we talked about our environments and cities. Actually he lives in Santa Monica, wich is 50 minutes by car from Irvine, because he works almots every night here. However he studies in Irvine and had to go there four days a week. That's hard for him especially when he has his midterms. We also exchanged photos of our houses, campus and cities.  The picture of his house is in a suburb, just like in the series! We agree to say that generally campus are not very beautiful and we prefer the center of the cities.


He already went to Paris and really loves it because there is always something to discover. this is a busy city where you can go out every night and have a good time with friends. Even alone, it's a pleasant. He add that you can see four seasons here. It's so different from the french vision of a  noisy city where people are grumpy... Moreover the traffic system is efficient in France. I never realized that before he told me, for example in LA it's horrible, you can be caugh for hours (he showed me pictures, that's horrible!).


And after we started to exchange about our families and leisure. His parents are immigrants from China who achieve to own a restaurant and are now retired. I was very impressive by that, they start from nothing and seems to be hardworkers. Brandon fancy to go to the restaurants and trying new food. He says he is a 'foodie". We also discovered that we both like volleyball.


I like to talk with him because he makes realized that things that are naturals for me, like the seasons or the tranport system, are not in others places of the world. I put things into perspective.
